Soundbox Productions was created in December 2005. It's aim was to explore what has become known as ‘dubstep’. Its influences are widespread and include jungle, electro, glitch, hip hop and anything that carves out a new musical path. While keeping an eye on the need to smash dancefloors it's beats also try to push the boundaries of music technology and production – attempting to create a unique sound.
Soundbox started musical life as a hip hop/jungle DJ and turntablist in Bristol City – from this basis he moved to serious production work in 2005 and started work on a series of dubstep tracks – which have now come together as his debut album under the title ‘Entry Point’ – due for release on Virus B-23 on 16th October 2006. Soundbox is addicted to making beats so expect a whole slew of beats to appear in the future.
